Washington Island, WI is a wonderful place to visit and to soak up beautiful vistas. We recently visited and toured the island on bicycles. The green, the hills, the skies–were all stunning in their boldness and their clarity. From this visit, I added to my “sketchbook” with this 8″x10″ acrylic on canvas panel.
And I just completed a larger piece, 10.875″x35.25″ acrylic on wood panel, of Pheasant Ridge Farm. The owners of this place are, themselves, artists and woodworkers. I plan to make a few postcards from this painting to announce the studio’s official opening. I believe it is a good representation of my work, incorporating much of the style I developed with watercolors/mixed media into the acrylic medium. Enjoy.
